The C.L.B. (Church Lads’ Brigade)  is a youth organization which, since 1892, has operated within the Newfoundland & Labrador Dioceses of the Anglican Church of Canada. It is open to boys and girld and members of all faiths and backgrounds and is operational mainly in the Eastern Diocese of Newfoundland and Labrador.

It motto is to “Fight The Good Fight ” which is based on St. Paul’s Epistle to The Ephesians Chapter VI, verses 10 to 20. The C.L.B. is a uniformed organization and employs the use of such military practices as is deemed to promote and advance the objects of the Brigade. That is, to train and develop young people to be good Christian citizens.

The Brigade is located in the following areas: Trinity East-Pt. Rexton, New Harbour, Carbonear, Hr. Grace, Upper Island Cove, Bay Roberts, Upper Gullies, Foxtrap, Topsail, Portugal Cove, Paradise, St. John’s Company Parishes : St. Augustine’s, St. Mary’s, St. Michael’s, St. Mark’s, CLB Armoury # 2355 Army Cadet Corps, Polynia Sea Cadets, & CLB Regimental Band.

Children both male and female can join the following sections:
The CLB is divided into five age groups:
Officers – ages 19 +
Senior Corps (SC) – grade 8 – 12
Junior Training Corps (JTC) – grades 5 – 6 & 7
Young Training Corps (YTC) – grades 2 – 3 and 4
Little Training Corps (LTC) – grades K and 1
